Josef Frank - The life work of a master
Here we learn more about Josef Frank's life's work and his active years as an architect and designer. We follow his journey from being one of the frontrunners and pioneers of Viennese modernism, to the development of the philosophy where people were at the center and the focus was on comfort, homeliness, and colorfulness. How Frank refused to limit himself to the norm and drew inspiration for his furniture and patterns as well as architecture, in the borderline between fantasy and reality. We also discuss why Josef Frank is still so relevant today, and how he continues to influence and inspire contemporary architects and designers
Participants: Mikael Bergquist, Architect and Thommy Bindefeld, Senior Advisor at Svenskt Tenn. The conversation is moderated by Susanne Ljung.
The call will be conducted in Swedish, buy your ticket here. Admission to the Konsthall is included in the ticket price.
The exhibition runs until January 12, 2025.
