June is a busy time in the city, especially on Djurgården. Here you can experience a variety of events, art, seminars and concerts, both at our place and our neighbours. You're welcome to join us, but leave your car at home. For 2-7 June, we are testing smarter traffic solutions and closing the Djurgården Bridge to public car traffic, for better accessibility for all and for a more lovely and greener Djurgården.
To get to Liljevalch on these days, we recommend walking, cycling or travelling by tram, bus or the Djurgården ferry. Transport services, taxis and vehicles with disabled permits are exempt from the ban on crossing the bridge. During the test week, public transport will be reinforced, while there will be cancellations on 4 June in connection with the Stockholm Marathon and on 6 June during the National Day. Read more here.
In connection with the traffic-smart week, Liljevalchs will present the multi-art work Tipping Point by the artist duo Bigert & Bergström in Galärparken (at Junibacken). With the sculpture, Bigert & Bergström visualize the complex interactions between our decisions today on the one hand, and living conditions and climate change in the future on the other. From 11 am to 3 pm every day, visitors can experience the artwork in a loop, starting every hour. No pre-registration or ticket is required, but queuing on site applies. Free admission.
