Here you will find information on how to apply for the Young Spring Salon 2026.
The application is digital and opens in October 2025.
Anyone born in 2008 or 2009 and attending upper secondary school and/or living in Stockholm County is welcome to apply for the Young Spring Salon 2026. You can apply individually or in a group of two or more people.
Your contribution can be about anything you like, using any technique and material.
Pleasenote! Digital images can only be displayed in physical form. When you apply, you need to have already decided how you will print your image, what size it will be and how it will be hung.
Video works may be shown in a film program with other participants' works.
You can apply with a maximum of 3 works per person/group, but you can also apply with 1 or 2 works.
You do not apply with the objects/works themselves but with photographs of them that you upload in the digital application. The file must be in one of the formats .jpg, .jpeg or .png. (If your work is already in digital form, upload the image file in one of the formats .jpg, .jpeg or .png.)
If your work is a film, it must be uploaded in one of the formats .mpg, .mpeg, .mp4, .mov and must not be longer than 5 minutes or larger than 100MB.
Audio works must be in mp3 format.
Name your files with first and last name and work 1, 2 or 3.
Example: Anna_Andersson_Verk2.
The deadline for applications will be in November 2025.
1. start by measuring your work(width and height, for three-dimensional works also depth). Also consider what material/technique it is made of.
(If you are applying with a digitally created image, you need to determine the size, material and mounting before applying.)
If you are submitting a video work, check how long it is (must be a maximum of 5 minutes).
2. Take a photo of the work. Remember to photograph your work against a clean background, in good light and make sure that the whole work is visible in the photo. (If you are searching with a digitally created image, use the image file.)

The jury consists of people who work with art at Liljevalchs konsthall - art historians, artists, art and visual arts educators. It is the jury's task to select the works that they think are best suited to this particular exhibition and to reject others. This does not mean that the selected works are not good enough - but that they simply do not fit in the best way in the exhibition.
All submissions will be notified by email whether or not they have been included in the exhibition by the end of 2025.
Note! The email is sent to the same email address as you wrote in the digital application, so remember to keep an eye on your inbox.
If you have been included in the exhibition, you will also receive more information about where and when to return your artwork(s), how to get it/them back after the end of the exhibition and everything else you need to know.
The exhibition is open to all and will be shown during the spring of 2026 at Liljevalchs konsthall on Djurgårdsvägen 60 in Stockholm. If you are under 18 years old, you can enter for free. Adults pay SEK 160 and students/pensioners SEK 130. If you have any questions: call 08-508 31 330 or email ungvarsalong@stockholm.se.
