The work tapestry is a triptych consisting of three looped films. The work is developed from audio and video material captured during everyday moments of being outdoors. The sound and visuals are playfully digitally reprocessed and manipulated through methods of stretching, stitching, warping and geometrically recomposed using symmetry and repetition. The film is presented on a textile sheet as a return to materiality and textuality. These works are part of my ongoing artistic processes of using the optics of displacement as a strategy in the re/presentation of the familiar and mundane into close proximity with the imagined exotic and foreign Other.
