A richly illustrated catalogue to Harald Lyth’s exhibition Sannolikheter (“Probabilities”) from spring 2022.
In a positive sense, Harald Lyth is doubtless an out-of-fashion artist. Ever since the 1970s the painter has been amazed by the possibilities offered by the pictorial space. He paints with brushes, crayons and charcoal on canvas, paper, floors or walls. He proceedes by attacking and being receptive, visually decoding until something opens up for colour and its signs. Harald Lyth was born in Gothemburg in 1937 and is currently based in Stockholm.
