Art Lab

Welcome to Liljevalchs’ Art Lab, where children and young people have the opportunity to come closer to the art and artists. During Vårsalongen 2026 (the Spring Salon), we have composed a school programme focusing on year F-3, as well as a programme for preschool groups.

School groups, year F-3

With the concept See art and make it yourselves, we invite you and your school class, before the Kunsthalle is open to the public, to a calm and quiet moment when the children can explore the art without the distraction of other visitors. Together, we’ll look at a few selected art works and talk about what we see, feel and think. What can a work of art tell us? What happens when we look closely?

Afterwards, we invite the children themselves to draw and sketch, with inspiration from the art works. You can bring everything you make during your visit back to your school and keep as a memory of your meeting with the art. During your visit, you are led by two experienced art educators, and you will be divided into two groups.

Please note that this is a special programme that is offered at five selected occasions.

For preschool groups, we offer the same creative programme as the one above, but we adapt your visit for younger children. After your visit, you are welcome to eat a packed meal together in our foyer.
