Art Lab
Our new hub where children and youth have the oppurtunity to get more acquainted to art and artists.
Welcome to Liljevalchs’ new Art Lab, that puts children and young people in focus! Here you have the opportunity to come closer to art and artists through programmes developed in collaboration with professional artists. In addition to an open workshop, we also invite schools to take part in our activities in groups.
The program in the art lab is always based on your own creation. It’s you, as a young person, and your thoughts and ideas that are important, and here you can test their form through new materials and expressions!
The Art Lab will take place in different spots in the Kunsthalle, and at different times. During the year, the artists Cecilia Ömalm and Shiva Anoushirvani will be among the guests, and on some occasions they will also be present in the workshop. On the other days, the Art Lab is led by the Kunsthalle’s educational staff and hosts – all practicing artists themselves.
Do you want to join in and make some art? During November 25–December 18 we’ll make art with the upcoming exhibition Stockholm Cosmologies as a starting point.
School classes are welcome to book a visit in our Art Lab. We’ll see one of the ongoing exhibitions together, and then we’ll go to the Art Lab and make art ourselves. Book here.
