This colourful and lively catalogue was released in autumn 2019 in conjunction with Helene Billgren’s exhibition Faran är över (“Danger is out of the way”). The artist selected her top 100 favourite artworks in her own enormous production. Two of her previously published texts accompany the pictures.

An alumnus of Konsthögskolan Valand, Helene Billgren was born in Norrköping in 1952. After having her first solo show presented at Galleri Rotor in 1985 in Gothemburg, she gained recognition thanks to no less than three exhibitions in the same year in 1989 in Stockholm, Gothemburg and Malmö. There, visitors could meet with charcoal or pencil-drawn nurses, horse girls and housewives, girl-women trying out different roles: dealing with their everyday lives, playing or being serious.
