Liljevalchs is thrilled to collaborate with Sothnord, who are invited to curate a series of events over the course of the exhibition When We See Us: A Century of Black Figuration in Painting which opens on 10 October 2025.
This seminal show features over 148 artworks created by Black artists worldwide from the past 100 years, works that are placed in dialogue with Black thinkers, writers, and poets active today. Southnord has invited a group of inspiring Afro-Swedes to activate the exhibition through guided tours and themed walkthroughs, sonic performances, readings for children, portrait workshops for youth and more.
