2 400 extra m2
The new building has three floors and gives another 2 400 square meters of new floor space to exhibitions, entrance, a shop and the traditional café Blå Porten.
Light in focus
On the top floor, the headroom ranges from 3,5 to 6 meters. 166 lanterns create a grid, enabling many kinds of room divisions and lightning.
Larger capacity
Liljevalchs+ has an increased security and a perfect indoor climate. We can house fragile artworks, shift from large to small exhibitions and stay open every day of the year.

Three new floors
When Liljevalchs+ was finished in 2021, the Kunsthalle has received another 2 400 square meters of floor space divided into three floors, for exhibitions, a restaurant and a shop.
Century old visions
In 1918, there were already plans of building studios and housing connecting to Liljevalchs behind the pink building, says Mårten Castenfors.
Two buildings with integrity
166 lanterns and 6860 glass jars give structure, rhythm and character to Liljevalchs+. The two buildings work together, and individually.
