This painting was made in the Summer of 2025 in my studio in Årsta Partihallar following a trip to London. What struck me most about this moment and why I wanted to capture it was the light. I loved how the harsh midday sun was bringing out the subtle reds and browns in the leather jacket. This contrast between earthy and artificial tones became central to the composition.
In my practice I am often exploring different ways of painting people without depicting them directly, showing how a person can be represented not by their face, but by what they love and what they hold dear. I also made the frame for this painting using scraps of wood that were lying around the studio.
