I was born in 1989 in Tehran and grew up in an artistic family. I began painting at an early age, Art has been a central and continuous part of my life and practice.
In all of my works, both my early pieces such as Speaking Trees, Hunting, and Golden Harvest, as well as my recent works: Absence, The Back Window, and Echo of Dance, a symbolic perspective is always present. They reflect a sense of a mysterious and incomprehensible destiny, expectations that never come to pass, an ongoing longing for lost time, the occurrence of unexpected events, and the differences between generations and their inability to fully understand one another.
In these works, I closely re-examine many everyday events that, due to repetition, are no longer truly seen or felt. Through indirect observation, these moments leave lasting effects. The themes I address, such as loneliness, death, and the ordinary and extraordinary anxieties of everyday life, are explorations and reminders of realities that exist but often fall outside our daily awareness. We only recognize them when we are suddenly confronted with them, at which point there is no choice but to accept the inevitable. The subjects of my works are mostly inspired by objects and the most accessible elements of daily life, which, through a moment of reflection, are given new life in another form. Whether present or absent, these subjects maintain a direct relationship with imagination and memories recorded across different times and places. Ultimately, they emerge in the foreground, leaving a lasting impression in their most mysterious state.
