The use of drawing in a painterly form has always been an integral part of my professional practice. By temporarily setting aside the purely technical aspects of the discipline, drawing—often abstract in nature—becomes a tool for shifting the gaze away from function and opening up new compositional possibilities. The two drawings presented in the exhibition are studies for a fireplace designed for a private project on the island of Gotland.
