Min älskare har fastnat i tjära
kantig, ståtlig, vis och dryg
djurisk skönhet utan lust i all ära
hästpyramider staplar sina brister i smyg.

My lover is stuck in tar
angular, noble, wise and lasting
brute by beauty but lack of desire in general
a horse pyramid with disturbing flaws contrasting.

My artistic practice is positioned in the borderline between Art and Design. My expression and imagery is nativistic illustration in contrast to complex or unexpected text -whether it is presented in large scale paintings, paper scupltures, a performance, a comic and in graphic novels or by a single drawing.
I’m unsaturated with the unspoken part between text and image within sequential storytelling and how this could be perceived in order to expand a story (the reading) of an illustrative motive. My main concern and theme is to work with normative limitations according to gender and social structures and my art is often directed to children and young adults.

The art works (Horse Pyramid 1 and 2) are made with markers, oil pastel and water color. The horse is often represented in my art in different appearances. As a foal, hunted or uplifted, as a centaur shape, ridden or killed. Most of the times it is unconsciously without planning and I guess I just draw horses a lot.
In various cultures the animal has been described as a symbol or ’bridge’ between earth, humanity and heaven -but also between man and the underworld (hell).
